“Holy shit,” said Puck when he entered the diner. He sat down at the table with Will and Finn. A slack jawed expression was the only way to describe his face. Will looked up from his second plate of French toast smirking lightly. He brushed his longer hair from his eyes wondering why he thought it looked good in high school.
“Hello Puck. Want a piece?”
The football player sat down and stared for a couple moments before whispering, “Mr. Schue?”
“Yes but for obvious reasons its Will now,” said Will easily with a wicked glint in his eyes, “Could you pass the syrup Finn?”
“Sure,” said the quarterback pushing the syrup bottle toward his boyfriend. He shoveled another bite of omelet into his mouth.
“Is it permanent?”
“Mrs. Gibson said that it would happen every other weekend until I go to college.”
Puck ran a hand through his mohawk, “It’s way too early for this shit.”
“Coffee?” asked Will pleasantly pushing his barely touched cup toward him. Puck took it and downed half of it in one go.
“Thanks Mr. S-Will. …When did my life get so fucking weird?”
Finn looked up pretending to think about it. Puck smacked his best friend in the arm.
“One word Hudson and I will hurt you.”
The quarterback could only grin in response. His eyes were brighter than they had been in weeks. Puck bit his lip.
“You better pray that Berry doesn’t organize any more weekend practices.”
Will paused in his eating realizing that Puck had a point.
“Shit,” said the eighteen year old teacher as he let his head drop to the table with a soft ‘thud’.
“We’ll work a schedule around it, Puck,” said Finn giving his best friend a look that said ‘if you ruin this I will kill you because I’m still slightly pissed at you for sleeping with Quinn and impregnating her’.
“So what are you two love birds doing today? And please don’t go into the over sentimental crap, I still have masculine pride.”
Will snorted into his orange juice. Finn paused.
“I don’t know I think we’re just gonna wing it. Is there anything you wanna do, Will?”
“I’m good with whatever.”
They both grinned dopily at each other. Puck turned a little green at the romantic crap going on in front of him.
“If you excuse me, I’m going to go barf or go and clean someone’s pool. I feel emasculated just by knowing you two.”
“We still watchin’ the game tomorrow?” asked Finn after his best friend.
“You get all this romantic shit out of your system then yes and bring Bugles.”
“Later, man.”
Puck grunted in response as he left. Will raised an eyebrow at the interaction.
“He’s really happy for us,” elaborated Finn who spoke fluent Puck.
“I’ll take your word for it. I should get some new clothes for when I get like this.”
“Alright. You’re really packing it away there.”
Will stuck out his tongue at him childishly. Finn laughed good-naturedly before fishing out some crumpled bills.
“Ready?”
“Yeah,” said Will as he slid on Finn’s letterman’s jacket. The football player grinned as he wrapped an arm around his boyfriend’s waist.

It was a good thing that Will hated clothes shopping just as much as Finn did. Otherwise they would have been here for awhile.
“Jeans, shirts, underwear,” muttered Will under his breath like he was preparing to go into battle before darting to the t-shirts. Finn stood around awkwardly waiting.
“Finn?” asked a familiar voice. He turned around to see Kurt Hummel standing there looking just as put together as ever. He had a couple shopping bags in his hand and a pair of expensive sunglasses rested on his nose.
“Hey Kurt, fancy running into you here.”
“Yeah! What are you doing here? You never struck me as someone who would go willingly shopping.”
Finn laughed, “You got that right man. Any of the girls here?”
“Tina, Brittany, and Mercedes are here with me. We’re making a day of it. You still haven’t answered my question.”
“Well I…”
“Finn?” asked Will coming over holding a couple of jeans and several shirts. He stopped seeing Kurt suddenly becoming awkward, “Hi.”
“Will, this is Kurt Hummel. We’re in glee together. Kurt, this is Will Morrison. My uh…”
“Boyfriend,” said Will with a kind smile holding out his hand. Kurt stared at it dumb founded.
“You’re gay?” blurted out the feyish gleek. Finn blushed.
“More like…bisexual?”
Kurt pouted and took Will’s hand. He eyed the teen in front of him like he was sizing up a piece of meat. Will shifted awkwardly under his gaze. Whatever he found made his lips quirk into a smile.
“I was kind of hoping to be the man in Finn’s life. However, I can accept when I have been defeated. However if you hurt him, I know enough about cars to cut your brake lines. Just throwing it out there.”
Will nodded slowly, “I’ll take good care of him.”
“Fantastic! Why don’t you two join our group? Tina’s being dreadful about hitting the bookstore for an hour. Or would that break up your date?”
Finn looked at his boyfriend.
“It really depends on what Will wants to do.”
“I don’t mind hitting the bookstore for a little bit. It’s better than clothes shopping.”
Kurt huffed and rolled his eyes, “Honestly! Shopping is very therapeutic.”
The couple could only laugh in response.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“He’s adorable,” said Brittany sitting in the café of the bookstore with latte in front of her.
“Who?” asked Finn glancing up from his sports magazine.
“You’re boyfriend silly! He’s totally adorable.”
The quarterback glanced over to see Will talking with Tina. He was gesturing wildly that made his curls bounce around with every move. His face was split into a wide grin as Tina gestured back with equal excitement. They both were grinning as she stuttered an explanation over a book in both their grasps. Maybe this would be good for Will in other ways too. It offered a chance for him to interact with his students in an entirely different perspective.
“Thanks, Brit. I’m really lucky to have him.”
The bubbly cheerleader gave him a wide smile.
“So have you two done it?”
Finn choked on his water.
“Excuse me?”
“Have you tapped that Finn?” asked Brittany with an innocent look on her face.
Finn flushed before mumbling his consent.
“That’s really hot!”
“Brit!”
“I’m sorry but it is!”
Finn hid his face into his hands wondering why for the sixtieth time he voluntarily hung out with these people. Then Will’s laugh is suddenly filling the store. Finn cannot help BUT grin as his boyfriend blows him a kiss before walking with Tina into the stacks.
No one is calling statutory. No one is looking at them too weirdly. Will is having a good time. Plus he wears the letterman jacket well.
And that’s as good a reason as any to survive a series of awkward questions from his crazy group of friends.
