I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. All the stuff that you pointed out were some of my favorite bits. I always felt that never specifying what happened to Patrick's family would be more intense for the reader.

I think Bill's character is one of my favorite supporting characters. I just can't help but throwing the vampire thing out there as a shout out to the 16 Candles AUs.
