Ugh my sympathies toward your writing. I'm halfway through two 20k Big Bangs. Both are due within a day of each other. And my school has decided to pile on the work so I need to use this break to write.
P.S.: Hahaha! Love the fact that there was a contest of who came out first! At least you weren't accidentally outed...like I did to my cousin. In my defense, he should have TOLD me that he didn't tell his dad that he was gay yet. Before he got trashed on wine coolers and we started talking about his boyfriend. My uncle took it in stride. But oh God! The looks on their faces when that happened will stay with me forever.
